BODYHAMMER continued in the vein that Slave Indvstries entered into almost six years ago with the Danse Macabre zine and the Night of Nepenthe and Cathedral club nights they were a part of in Memphis, TN. It continued with their Slave Cylinder and related concerts in Indiana, and their guest dj sets or permanent spots at such nights as Bedlam, Discordian Knights, Club Dominion, Vinyl Frontier, Vinyl Knights, Relapse > Prolapse, etc. Through such diverse experiences, they gained a wealth of contacts and friends, and the Bodyhammer festival was a culmination of these contacts, artists, and like minds. Sharing a common vision with these many individuals in and around the Midwest, they all banded together in order put on a professional, large-scale event that displayed a wide variety of talented electronic acts and stressed scene unity, advertised in Last Sigh and Side-Line magazines as well as many local publications and radio stations. It was the "farewell" event for many of the bands and people involved, as they were all planning on moving to the West coast in order to continue and further spread their operations. It was definitely not an event to be missed! Events carrying the "Bodyhammer" name are expected to pop up again soon in your area...
