run = "web.src" F:\WWW\ISV\DOC\ [ tba ] planned & upcoming works I have a problem. I find myself torn between different projects and different ideas for the same project all too often, and releases often take a little longer to complete than they should as a result. Still, can I really complain for having more creative ideas than I have time to execute? Here are some of the more "definite" plans that should be coming to fruition in the next few months/years/etc.. iSv - sub not dub A full album of idm and glitch in the vein of Warp, Rephlex, Skam, etc.. Pretty much done, even the art has been completed-- I just need to go back, add a few more synth lines and broken hiccups, and then decide on a final track order. Coming soon! I also occasionally play iSv shows using only this material, which makes for a very different sound and experience than my normal fare. I <3 the sounds of malfunction! iSv - sub not dub vol two [final title tba] Kind of an "oops I baked too much" sale, as I wrote entirely too much material for one Sub Not Dub CD. I decided to split it up into two releases, as the double CD format is often both pretentious and the death knell for otherwise decent artists. Plus, it gives me the chance to group similar-sounding tracks together so that both albums will sound like I know what I'm doing. iSv - sci Tentative title for the album after gHz. Almost entirely done [!!], the tracks on this release will include WBM [watch battery melodies], KEY LOG, CHU, NOD/DYS, LAB @ 2AM, STC HUB, RED GEL, THX JER BYE, and NFO SOC [possibly], among others. Takes the blueprint for "gHz" and twists it into extra dimensions-- more effects, more atmosphere, and a more clinical feel. Lots of mood pieces, ambient textures and sparser beats interrupted by blasts of evil synth and broken rhythms. iSv - mechasylum [game sndtrk on 9.38khz label] This release, a soundtrack for a video game that doesn't exist, was written and completed around 2002. Problems arose when extracting the songs for CD release-- composed in Sawcutter, the songs require that I tweak the sequences, settings, and effects in realtime as I write them to .wav. An alternate solution was to extract loops and re-create the songs in Making Waves, where I have much more control, but the first few tracks were missing something vital, the raw spontaneity of live manipulation. I just need to bite the bullet, and go back and record the songs straight from Sawcutter. I'll get around to it. iSv - tba split CD Scott from Naked Intruder and I have been talking about a split CD or record for far too long. Hopefully, it'll happen one of these days. *coughHINTcough* iSv - sex Loose theme album about one of my favorite subjects, examining it from all sorts of odd angles, from creepy to fun. I have a few pieces and 2:10 segments written for it, going to go back and do more now that I've discovered a love of old exotica and lounge. iSv - san Originally planned as an ep tribute to an amazing experience I had in San Francisco, I haven't touched the demos for SAN since I started them in Las Vegas. The future of this release is iffy at this point, but I'm not ready to give up on it altogether... There's more where that came from... |
